Hold On… This DOES have something to do with hearing God’s voice….keep reading!
Giants are one of the cornerstones of the myths and traditions of cultures on the Earth. The Greeks and Romans had the Titans. The Hindus have their Daityas. The Norse had Frost Giants and the Celtic had the Fomors. Giants are woven into ancient stories from around the world.
So what do giants have to do with hearing the voice of God? I’ve been studying giants for several years now and there is plenty of evidence that they truly did exist.
The picture above is of my son in South Africa. We traveled there to see this giant footprint in granite from ages ago. There are several of these footprints around the world but strangely they aren’t talked about too much in U.S. government supported historical museums or societies.
Michael Tellinger, from this area in South Africa that I have been to, has found an actual petrified finger found in cretaceous limestone, which belonged to a “prehistoric” human. An MRI showed this to be consistent with human tissue complete with joints.
There is a lot of information available when you start to study the fascinating topic of the prehistoric giants, and I plan to start posting links on this page for those who are interested. But the reason I am personally interested in these giants really does relate to my book and the focus of my blog, which is learning to hear the voice of God.
I do believe these giants are mentioned in Biblical texts and if you search in more ancient texts, you find yourself walking down a path that leads to the explanation of demonic spirits and the source of evil thoughts that you and I can have even today.
I know it sounds crazy if you have never heard this before. For me it all began when I read an ancient text called ‘The Book of Enoch.’
The Book of Enoch is ascribed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. There is controversy surrounding the authenticity of this book, though copies of it were found with the dead sea scrolls. It is an ancient book but not Scripture. “It very considerably influenced the idiom of the New Testament and patristic literature, more so in fact than any other writing of the Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha.” – Norman Golb, Who Wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls? (1995) p. 366.
It is argued that all of the writers of the New Testament were familiar with it and influenced by it. A short section of 1 Enoch (1 En 1:9) is quoted in the New Testament (Jude 1:14-15), and there it is attributed to Enoch the Seventh from Adam (1 En 60:8)
This is a book that was around during the time of Christ and the Jews of the time all knew about it.
The Book of Enoch discusses the giants and their origin. According to this book, when the sons of God (understood as fallen angels) took wives from the daughters of men in Genesis (Genesis 6:4), there was a defiled race of part angels/part humans (called Nephilim). They were larger than typical humans and called giants. The Bible calls them the Heroes of old, the men of renown. It is suggested that much of Greek Mythology came from stories that included these half angel/half human people…the giants.
These unions between fallen angels and humans were not sanctioned by God and were done in direct disobedience to the will of God for earth. These giants were evil and did terrible things like kill and eat the humans.
The Enochian text says that God’s punishment on the fallen angels was dire for the souls of their giant children. When these children died, their spirits would roam the earth forever with no promise of resurrection.
The Book of Enoch says that, “the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble.” Sounds like demons to me, and this has to do with hearing the voice of God because these spirits wander the earth looking for ways to cause trouble “without being seen.”
They are speaking to you without you understanding that it is them speaking. Thoughts come into your mind that are from them that you credit yourself with. It’s important to learn how to hear the voice of God so that we can easily pick out the counterfeit thoughts and reject them.If this ruler stood up, how tall would he be?
My book Snatchproof, The Art of Hearing God’s Voice has an entire chapter dedicated to this topic. You can download the digital version from Barnes and Nobles or Amazon.com, or order the paperback.

RESOURCES FOR FURTHER STUDY:
2. Steve Quayle’s book, Genesis 6 Giants is one of the best compilations on Giants I’ve ever read.
2. Book: Giants, Sons of the Gods – I have this book. It’s packed full of fascinating information.
3. Book: The Ancient Giants Who Ruled America: The Missing Skeletons and the Great Smithsonian Cover-Up – Great book that documents giant discoveries and how the Smithsonian got involved and then they just “disappear”.
4. Book: Lost Race of the Giants: The Mystery of Their Culture, Influence, and Decline throughout the World – Another great book on my bookshelf.
6. My report on the South African footprint – with photos – actually this was an email I sent to Steve Quayle and he reposted it. He had asked me to get pictures when I was there.
8. Why Giants? Interesting theory on why Satan sent fallen angels to interbreed with humans.
